MyZone is an accurate heart rate based exercise tracker that helps you get the most out of each workout. Everyone has different exercise “zones” and MyZone will help you identify those zones, adapt the zones over time, and reward you for your hard work.
The more intensely you exercise, the more MyZone Effort Points you earn. Not only does MyZone track your heart rate, activity time, and calories burned; it is simple to use and easy to understand.
MyZone classes are taught by Ames Fitness Center's Personal Trainers. Classes will have live intensity monitoring so we can “beat yesterday.” Participants will use a variety of equipment including kettle bells, TRX, rowers, battle ropes, punching bags and more.

- Do I have to have a heart rate strap to participate in a MYZone class? No. You can still participate and perform all of the exercises, only without heart rate data.
- Is a MyZone class the only place I can wear the monitor? No. You can wear the monitor during your run or bike ride inside or outside and the results will show on your smart phone, Apple Watch, or Garmin.
